Course Description Pelatihan Formation Evaluation

Participants apply subsurface integration skills to solve problems associated with identifying and exploiting reserves using hands-on experience and workshops. This provides participants the ability to identify if any technology gaps exist and the impact of the underlying uncertainty and assumptions associated with many reservoir analysis tools. A subsurface integration model presents a thought and work-flow process based on pore geometry.

Day 8    •    Tips To Use CMR and ECS in Deterministic IP Model – IP Use in Variable ‘m’ Tight Carbonates
Day 9    •    New/Improved Features in IP version 3.1
Day 10    •    Use of Probabilistic (Stochastic) Mineral Solver Model
Day 11    •    The focus is on how integrated petrophysical evaluations are related to reserve evaluations. The key components of pore geometry are explained using practical workshop topics include thin sections, mineralogy, SEM, conventional and high pressure mercury injection. The interactions of rock, pores and fluids are shown for texture controlled, diagenetic and complex reservoir systems. A well evaluation workshop using these tools and Excel is used to reinforce these concepts.
Day 12    •    Participants determine how to apply both total and effective porosity for reserve evaluations. The importance of lithology, clay structure, and data acquisition along with stress dependence is addressed for laboratory, borehore, seismic and engineering data sources of porosity. Porosity measurements (sonic, neutron and density), determining lithology, and various cross-plot methods are presented. Quality assurance and uncertainty are discussed in these work sessions.
